Amazon.com Product Description This is a reconditioned power tool. Reconditioned generally means that the tool has been returned to the manufacturer, who brings the tool back to like-new condition. Some tools may contain cosmetic blemishes. DeWalt's heavy-duty 18-gauge pneumatic brad nailer is built to last, with many innovative features that save time and money on the job site. It holds 110 nails from 5/8 to 2 inches long and has enough power for even the hardest woods. In softer materials, users can quickly adjust the nail depth and lock it in with an innovative vertical slide that has four indexed positions. The D51238KR has a durable tool-free, front latch, jam-clearing mechanism that will not wear out over the life of the nailer. Air exhaust is channeled away from the user with a tool-free 360-degree adjustable exhaust setting. Other useful features include a rubber handgrip for comfort and control, and an overmolded no-mar pad on the end of the contact trip for better visibility when placing nails. Your purchase includes 18-gauge nailer with sequential action trigger, DeWalt safety glasses, two wrenches, DeWalt pneumatic oil, and carrying case.

great product and price December 31, 2008 shopped around and found amazon had the best price. you would never know it was a reconditioned product looks brand new.
Factory-Reconditioned Dewalt 5/8-2" 18 Gauge Brad Nailer March 26, 2008 Initially I was worried about reconditioned product; But after using several times for moldings work I totally satisfied with the nailer. I am homeowner so my experience is limited. The nailer never mulfunctioned, worked great, left practically no visible nail marks. And for the price a very great product.

It has been a very nice nailer so far
Another great product by DeWalt February 15, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This reconditioned brad nailer is half price of a new one and works great. I have shot nails from 5/8" to 2" into softwood trim and 3/4" sheet goods and have never had a problem sinking the heads below the material surface - using 80 psi on the compressor.
nice nailer January 9, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Its not often that I use an 18 gauge nailer, so I went with the reconditioned and saved money. It arrived quickly and honestly I cannot see any difference (fit and finish) between it and a new one. I have been installing some beefy crown this week using 2 inch nails and it needs to have the air pressure at 100 or better. About 20% of the time the nails still need countersinking. That's why I rated this a 4 not a 5. I tend to be fussy and dont like to have nails even with the finished surface because it looks like a pimple on the workpiece once it is painted. I would buy this gun again and am happy with my purchase.
