Great! July 28, 2008 My refurb still runs great, and I got it for $33 from amazon a while back (one day sale). Very convenient without wires. Charges last long.
Not just a trimmer May 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We've gotten great use from this garden tool, maybe more than was ever intended. Oh, it does the trimming just fine, and automated feed for the cutter makes that even easier than on other models. The cutting head also rotates 90 degrees. When the cutter runs vertically, instead on horizontally to the ground, it does a good job of edging, too, without having to wrestle the tool into an awkward and hazardous position.
The extra benefit comes from our near-urban yard, not quite a postage stamp, but pretty small. A real lawnmower, used for ten minutes every two weeks, would be ridiculous overkill as well as a storage problem. That's where this gadget comes in - with a little practice, it does as neat a job as the lawnmower ever did, along with all its other jobs, and stores more conveniently too.
Even with the battery pack, it's light enough for my wife to handle comfortably and safely, and doesn't kick out nearly the noise of a gas-powered model. My only complaint arises from the release mechanism that detaches the battery from the tool's body. It takes a wide hand with a strong grip to press both release buttons together. I can handle it, but others might want to try it in the store before taking it home. Outside of that, this edger does everything advertised, and more.

Good Deal April 5, 2008 For the price of a cordless edger, it was a really good deal. I wouldn't suggest this if you had a large lawn, unless you have an extra battery.
Best money can buy January 16, 2008 Its a your mileage may vary kind of deal. I lucked out with this one on the 2007 thanksgiving sale. It cost me just $40 and it works alright so far. I had to spend an extra 15 bucks getting spools as the package description didnt mention spools.
This does come pre-fitted with one full spool. So all you then need is to get some cord from Home depot. The B&D spools are expensive but you can get the cord separate and use the same spool for less.
All things considered this was a pretty good deal for this piece. Nice deal amazon!
